The reading of CONGRATULATIONS, JOE went well--it was a great learning experience to have so many talented theater professionals giving me insightful feedback. I got right to work on their suggestions and in a frenzy of re-writing, I made some changes that will make the script stronger. This kind of collaboration is one of the reasons that I love the theater, which is centered on making connections and building community. At the heart of it is trust--the ability to listen with sincerity, instead of talking out of your ass, which seems to be our new national pasttime.
Oh, and I got a speaking part in Harmony Korine's new movie.
